Mason E. Liftig
Endowed
Scholarship
The Mason E. Liftig Endowed Scholarship has been established within the FRSA Education & Research Foundation, in memory of Mason Edward Liftig. Mason was the son of Deborah Currier Liftig, Secretary of the Board for SWFRCA and the grandson of Edward and Nell Currier, founders of Currier Roofing Co., Inc.
Mason
spent many happy times at FRSA conventions, quarterly Board of
Directors Meetings and SWFRCA events. He developed many friendships
with the adults and children alike, and he had a tremendous amount of
respect for the professional roofing community.
Mason was also a talented mechanic. He was fascinated with cars, motorcycles, and anything else with moving parts. He studied and learned; it was important for him to understand the how and why. In 17 short years, Mason found his calling. He was passionate about his vocation-- it was a gift.
The mission of the Mason E. Liftig Endowed Scholarship is to help others like Mason find their passion and to endorse the concept that using your head and your hands is an honorable pursuit. With this idea in mind, all proceeds from the endowment will be used to fund annual scholarships for attendance in trade or vocational schools by individuals wishing to pursue a career in the construction field. Further, the scholarships will endeavor to support students with scholastic or learning disabilities helping to assist them in reaching their full potential.
Contributions should be made payable to the FRSA Educational Foundation, earmarked for the Mason E. Liftig Endowed Scholarship and mailed to:
